Staub designs this series with colors and visual textures that are indicative of tropical storms and the vast array of plant life that flourishes from them. Advanced and ancient Venetian glassblowing techniques from the Island of Murano are incorporated, attaching multiple bubbles together and changing the rotational axis of the bubble during the blowing process. He often incorporates transparent windows into the piece to further reference and pay respect to the raindrop that is apparent in form.
